Why Do It?

Become an Air Force officer upon graduating college, and lead in a variety of exciting, unique career fields that the Air Force has to offer. Please refer to this LINK for a list of all the career fields the Air Force has to offer for its officers.

Gain valuable leadership experience and discipline

As a ROTC cadet, you’ll have many opportunities to lead others, not only as a cadet, but as a student and a member of your community. You will be pushed physically and mentally, and the discipline you gain as a cadet will not only prepare you to be a better leader but a better student and person as a whole.

Pursue your future as an officer while enjoying life as a student

ROTC cadets are required to participate in Leadership Laboratory (Lead Lab) and physical training (PT) sessions throughout the week. Aside from that, as a cadet you are free to enjoy your life as a college student.

There is no adventure quite like the career of an Air Force Officer.  The mission of the United States Air Force is to fly, fight and win...in air, space and cyberspace.

To achieve that mission, the Air Force has a vision of Global Vigilance, Reach and Power. That vision orbits around three core competencies: Developing Airmen, Technology-to-Warfighting and Integrating Operations. These core competencies make our six distinctive capabilities possible.
